Mentoring

Mentoring can be a valuable tool for both the mentee and the mentor.  In health care fields, the practice of mentoring (and shadowing) is used heavily so that mentees can get a first-hand understanding of the profession, day-to-day responsibilities, and observe the rewards and challenges of the job.  There are three mentoring opportunities available for WSU students who are preparing to enter a health care field.  The PMHSC suggests students get involved in mentoring at the very beginning of their journey as mentors may provide valuable information about the preparation needed for a health care education.  Use the descriptions below to learn more about each mentoring program.
