Transfer Equivalency Self-Service (TESS)

Wayne State's Transfer Equivalency Self-Service tool (TESS) provides an unofficial degree audit that indicates how your transfer credit is applied and which courses are still required to complete the degree.

It's easy to get started:  

Log in to TESS

• Create an account to save your information and add credits at a later date. 
• Select your entering semester/term and intended degree program.
• Select your transfer college(s) and the classes you've taken.
• Add each course, including the term, credit hours, grade and type of credit. 
• Finish by selecting "I'm all done!" to review the course equivalencies and to download a PDF of your degree audit. 

If you have earned the Michigan Transfer Agreement, search "General Education Waiver" as your college and select "MTA GEN ED." Please note: credits should always be zero, but the grade must be 2.0 or higher.

A few things to consider

• You may need to allow pop-ups in your browser for this website to see your results.
• Transfer credit that is not a direct or department equivalent may transfer as elective credit, which can still be used to satisfy graduation requirements. 
• The Michigan Transfer Agreement will satisfy all Wayne State general education requirements. 
• The most accurate way to determine how your credits will transfer is to apply to Wayne State and receive an official credit evaluation and degree audit after admission.
