Professional development
Medical schools expect future physicians to be active and engaged members of society, dedicated to serving their communities, building skills working with other people, and developing the Core Competencies. Candidates will have an opportunity to share their work and activities with medical schools within the primary application and throughout the process. Students can include all extracurricular activities from freshman year in college through the point of application. The PMHSC works with each Wayne State University student to ensure that professional development and exploration is appropriate and competitive. Students are expected to track all of their activities. They may choose any format, but the record should include the following information.
