Professional Development

A competitive candidate for PA programs will be able to clearly articulate why they are a good fit for the profession. They will also have spent a significant number of hours working in a health care setting. Students are encouraged to add clinical hours after they have established strong, sustainable academic habits. Shadowing a practicing physician assistant can be an additional opportunity to develop a strong perspective. All of this information will be submitted to the Centralized Application System for PA (CASPA) portal.
