Volunteering, Shadowing, and More

PA programs want to know about all the ways each candidate stays busy. Activities outside the medical environment give applicants an opportunity to develop transferable skills, attributes, and traits that make a caring, competent future health care professional.  These additional categories include non-healthcare employment, extracurricular activities, leadership experience, research, shadowing, teaching experience and volunteer work.
